Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine chopped strawberries, milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and zest.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients; stir gently until just combined.
  5. Transfer batter to the prepared pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. While cooling, mix granulated sugar with lemon juice and warm water for the glaze.
  7. Drizzle glaze over cooled bread before slicing.
