Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 oz) strawberry cake mix
- 8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 large egg
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- Optional: Powdered sugar or colored sugar for dusting
- 30 chocolate kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
- Mix in the softened cream cheese until fully incorporated.
- Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll tablespoon-sized amounts of dough into balls; if desired, roll in sugar before placing them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie while warm and cool completely on a wire rack.
