- 1 cup warm milk

- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter (very soft)
- 1 ¾ cups fresh or frozen strawberries
- Juice of half a lemon
- ½ cup cream cheese (softened)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (softened for glaze)
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp cold strawberry puree
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberry filling by cooking strawberries with lemon juice and sugar until thickened. Blend until smooth and cool.
- Make the dough by mixing flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a stand mixer. Add warm milk, butter, and egg; knead until smooth. Let it rise until doubled.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the cooled strawberry filling, roll tightly, and cut into strips.
- Arrange in a baking dish, let rise again until puffy, then bake at 350°F for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- While cooling slightly, prepare the glaze by blending cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and strawberry puree.
