Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup Nutella (plus more for swirls)
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, blend the mashed bananas with sugar until smooth.
- Add in the egg and vegetable oil; mix until well combined.
- Stir in vanilla extract and ½ cup of Nutella until smooth.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
- Spoon the batter into muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full. Swirl in additional Nutella if you like.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Allow to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
