Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased 9-inch round baking pan.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter until creamy, then gradually add sugar until fluffy.
- Incorporate eggs one at a time followed by buttermilk and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in blackberries.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 32 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting mixed with blackberry puree and powdered sugar.
