- 2 ΒΌ cups water (adjust as needed)

Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine Maseca masa harina and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water while mixing with your hands until the dough is smooth and not sticky.
- Divide the dough into 12 portions and cover with a damp kitchen towel.
- Heat a comal or skillet over medium heat. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten between plastic sheets using a heavy dish or tortilla press.
- Cook each gordita on the hot skillet for about 1-2 minutes on each side until lightly browned. Cut a slit in each gordita for stuffing.
