  • 1 Tbsp chili crisp
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 6 green onions (thinly sliced; separate white and green bits)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce (plus more for serving)
  • 2 Tbsp white miso paste
  • 6 cups vegetable broth (or chicken broth)
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 lb frozen vegetable, chicken, or beef dumplings (mini wontons or potstickers)
  • 3 to 4 cups baby bok choy or bok choy
  • Fried onion
  • Chili crisp
  • Green onion
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chili crisp, white parts of green onion, ginger, and garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 2 minutes).
  2. Stir in soy sauce, broth, and rice vinegar; bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for 4 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk white miso paste with some hot broth until dissolved; add back to the pot.
  4. Add frozen dumplings and cook according to package instructions until nearly done.
  5. Stir in half of the green onion tops and baby bok choy; cook until wilted (1-2 minutes).
  6. Serve hot with desired toppings like fried onion and sesame seeds.
