- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional, to taste)
Instructions
- Microwave softened cream cheese until very soft; set aside.
- Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; cook chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F). Remove from skillet.
- Sauté chopped onions in the same skillet until softened, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, add cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet, warm through, adding more broth if needed for consistency.
