  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper before dredging in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms with Italian seasoning; cook until mushrooms release their water.
  4. Add minced garlic; cook for one minute before stirring in white apple vinegar. Let it reduce for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and return the chicken to the pan. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.
