Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Flour (for dredging)
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper before dredging in flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms with Italian seasoning; cook until mushrooms release their water.
- Add minced garlic; cook for one minute before stirring in white apple vinegar. Let it reduce for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and return the chicken to the pan. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.
