Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound to an even thickness. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a cast iron skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts until golden brown and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Lower the heat and add butter to the skillet along with minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream while stirring to deglaze the pan. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted; let simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, allowing it to coat in sauce for an additional 2–3 minutes before serving.
