- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 3 ripe bananas
- ½ cup (113g) butter, melted
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups (256g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9×5-inch loaf pans with nonstick spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth, then add an egg and vanilla extract. Stir in flour and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mash ripe bananas, then mix in melted butter and both sugars. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract; blend well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Combine dry ingredients with the banana mixture without overmixing.
- Pour half of the batter into each loaf pan, layer with cream cheese filling, then top with remaining batter.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool before slicing.
