  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup (113g) butter, melted
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (256g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9×5-inch loaf pans with nonstick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth, then add an egg and vanilla extract. Stir in flour and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mash ripe bananas, then mix in melted butter and both sugars. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract; blend well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Combine dry ingredients with the banana mixture without overmixing.
  5. Pour half of the batter into each loaf pan, layer with cream cheese filling, then top with remaining batter.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool before slicing.
