  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted) for topping
  • ½ cup granulated sugar for topping
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 8½ x 4½-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to parchment paper.
