- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 ¼ cups whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted) for topping
- ½ cup granulated sugar for topping
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 8½ x 4½-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to parchment paper.
- Brush the warm loaf with melted butter and sprinkle with a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
