- 6 ripe oranges
- 3 cups sugar

- Spices (cinnamon, cloves, star anise)
- Your choice of chocolate for dipping
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash and slice the oranges into 0.3-inch rounds.
- Boil the orange slices in water for 5-10 minutes to reduce bitterness if desired.
- Prepare a syrup by combining sugar, spices, and water in a saucepan until dissolved.
- Add the boiled orange slices to the syrup and simmer on low heat for about 1.5 hours until tender and translucent.
- Drain excess syrup and place on paper towels to absorb moisture.
- Bake on a baking sheet at 212°F (100°C) for 30 minutes (15 minutes per side) to enhance texture.
- Once cooled, dip each slice halfway in melted chocolate and let set on parchment paper.
