- 1½ cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 1-pound loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat the egg, milk, and vegetable oil until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just moistened—avoid overmixing.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips while reserving about ¼ cup for topping.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle reserved chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow cooling for about 10 minutes before slicing.
