- 4 cups all-purpose flour

- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch

- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until coarse crumbs form.
- Combine eggs, ice water, and lemon juice in another bowl; mix into the flour until just combined.
- Divide dough into two pieces, flatten into rectangles, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Toss sliced apples with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, lemon juice, and vanilla until evenly coated.
- Roll out the larger piece of dough to fit the pan; press it into the bottom. Spread the apple filling over it.
- Roll out the second piece of dough to cover the filling completely; trim and crimp edges while cutting vents in the top crust.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
- Cool on a wire rack; whisk glaze ingredients together and spread over cooled apple slices.
