- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 pound French bread (diced)
Instructions
- Spray a 9×13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar; scatter into the prepared pan.
- In a large bowl, beat eggs; add milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger, and salt; whisk until well combined.
- Add diced bread to the egg mixture; toss gently until evenly coated.
- Pour the bread mixture into the prepared pan; cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until lightly browned and bubbling.
- Serve warm topped with caramel sauce or maple syrup.
