  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (for frosting)
  • 8 ounces Semisweet or Bittersweet Chocolate
  • 4 ounces Unsweetened Chocolate
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter (for frosting)
  • 4 cups Confectioners Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
