- 1 envelope active dry yeast (1 tablespoon)
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 1 cup apple butter
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
- Activate yeast by combining it with 1 tablespoon of milk and sugar in a measuring jug; wait until bubbly.
- Whisk remaining milk, sugar, beaten eggs, and melted butter into the yeast mixture.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine flour and salt; add wet ingredients and knead until soft and stretchy.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size (about 45-60 minutes).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread apple butter on top, sprinkle with combined sugars and cinnamon, then roll tightly into a log.
- Cut into rounds and place in a greased baking pan; let rise again until puffy (20-30 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 350°F and bake rolls for about 18-25 minutes until golden brown.
- While cooling slightly on a wire rack, prepare frosting by mixing all frosting ingredients until smooth.
- Spread frosting over warm rolls before serving.
