Instructions

  1. Cook turkey bacon until crispy, chop, and set aside.
  2. Sauté diced onions and sliced carrots in butter or olive oil until tender.
  3. Pour in chicken broth, increase heat, and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, thyme, and optional chili flakes; stir well.
  5. Gradually mix in shredded cheddar until melted.
