- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon pure strawberry extract
- ½ teaspoon red gel food coloring
- ½ cup sparkling sugar
Instructions
- Blend freeze-dried strawberries into a fine powder. Set aside.
- Combine 1 tablespoon of strawberry powder with sparkling sugar; store in an airtight container.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar in a stand mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and strawberry extracts.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and remaining strawberry powder.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients into wet ingredients without overmixing.
- Chill dough for at least 2 hours.
- Roll chilled dough into balls; coat in sparkling sugar.
- Bake for about 10 minutes until just set; cool before serving.
