Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and airy.
- Gradually mix in the molasses and egg until fully combined.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until a thick dough forms.
- Roll dough into balls (about ¼ cup each), coat in granulated sugar, place on baking sheets, and slightly flatten each ball.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.
