Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cupcake pans with liners.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, red food coloring, vanilla extract, and white vinegar until smooth.
- Gradually combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients; stir gently until just combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow cupcakes to cool in pans for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks; frost once completely cooled.
