  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, preferably panko
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse peeled shrimp until finely chopped. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add breadcrumbs, beaten egg, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to the shrimp. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place on a platter.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat until shimmering.
  5. Fry the shrimp balls in batches for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels before serving.
