Ingredients
- 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, preferably panko
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse peeled shrimp until finely chopped. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
- Add breadcrumbs, beaten egg, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to the shrimp. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place on a platter.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat until shimmering.
- Fry the shrimp balls in batches for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels before serving.
