- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 oz)
- 3 ½ cups Rice Krispies cereal
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and position the oven rack in the center.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together. Gradually add to the butter mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips gently. Roll dough into balls and coat with Rice Krispies.
- Place on parchment-lined baking sheets, lightly flatten each ball, and bake for 23-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on baking sheets for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
