- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons red food coloring
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 1-2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1-2 teaspoons whipping cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat together softened butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Add egg, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the butter mixture; mix well.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting.
