- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix the flour, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, oregano, and salt.
- In a medium pot over medium heat, add vegetable oil and heat until shimmering.
- Gradually whisk the flour mixture into the hot oil until combined. Stir in tomato paste for one minute.
- Slowly pour in the chicken broth while whisking to prevent lumps; cook until simmering.
- Allow the sauce to thicken for about five minutes before adjusting seasoning as needed.
