- 1/2 cup fruit preserves (any flavor)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
- Roll out each sheet of puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into four squares.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each square and top with fruit preserves.
- Fold corners towards the center and pinch to seal.
- Whisk egg with water and brush over each danish.
- Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth; drizzle over warm danishes.
