  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer with the whisk attachment, beat together brown sugar, butter, and vanilla until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  2. Add eggs to the mixture and beat on low speed until just combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add to the wet ingredients while mixing on low speed until just incorporated.
  4. Gently fold in the pecans with a spatula until evenly distributed.
  5. Cover the dough and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop balls of dough measuring approximately 1.25 inches in diameter onto the prepared cookie sheets at least 3 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the center of the oven for about 8 minutes or until edges are slightly golden brown.
