Ingredients
- 500 g ground chicken
- 1 egg
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1½ cups milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into medium-sized balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking tray.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add milk while whisking until smooth and slightly thickened. Stir in remaining Parmesan cheese until creamy.
- Pour the sauce over the baked chicken bombs and broil for an additional 3–5 minutes until bubbling.
