- 1 small head of cabbage
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 small onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ cup shredded cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 egg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice cabbage into thick rounds, brush with olive oil, and place on the baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and egg (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Press the meat mixture onto each cabbage slice to form patties.
- Bake for about 25 minutes; then add cheese and broil for an additional 3-5 minutes until melted.
