  • 1 (15 oz) can refried beans
  • 2 teaspoons chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped for garnish
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. Lower heat and mix in softened cream cheese until melted. Stir in sour cream until smooth.
  4. Add drained diced tomatoes, refried beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with tortilla chips.
