- ¼ cup maple syrup

- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Cream room-temperature butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, maple syrup, and blotted pumpkin puree; mix well.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture until fully incorporated.
- Fold in half of the chopped pecans.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 13–15 minutes until lightly golden; cool on racks.
- For icing, whisk powdered sugar with maple syrup and spices; drizzle over cooled cookies.
