- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 8 eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup honey, warmed
- 16 oz sour cream, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar
- ½ teaspoon fine salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 8 oz Cool Whip, frozen
- ½ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour and baking soda. In another bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add warmed honey and sour cream; blend well.
- Combine both mixtures until smooth; add vinegar and salt.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth. Roll out into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick and cut into strips for braiding.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place braided dough in a greased baking pan lined with parchment paper and bake for about 35 minutes or until golden brown.
- For the frosting, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth; fold in Cool Whip. Spread over cooled babka.
