Ingredients
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 6 slices of chicken ham
- 12 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1-2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 2 teaspoons Slap Ya Mama® seasoning
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
- In one bowl, mix flour with seasonings (Slap Ya Mama®, garlic salt, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, red pepper flakes). In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk and egg. Place Panko breadcrumbs in a third dish.
- Coat each chicken breast in seasoned flour, dip into the buttermilk mixture, then coat generously with Panko.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat and cook the coated chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer cooked chicken to a baking sheet; top each piece with chicken ham and Swiss cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
- While baking, prepare honey mustard sauce by mixing mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, and honey until smooth.
- Serve hot with honey mustard sauce drizzled on top or on the side.
