  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 6

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 6 slices of chicken ham
  • 12 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1-2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons Slap Ya Mama® seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour with seasonings (Slap Ya Mama®, garlic salt, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, red pepper flakes). In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk and egg. Place Panko breadcrumbs in a third dish.
  3. Coat each chicken breast in seasoned flour, dip into the buttermilk mixture, then coat generously with Panko.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat and cook the coated chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer cooked chicken to a baking sheet; top each piece with chicken ham and Swiss cheese.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  7. While baking, prepare honey mustard sauce by mixing mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, and honey until smooth.
  8. Serve hot with honey mustard sauce drizzled on top or on the side.
