- 2 beef chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1 inch thick)
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh herbs (for garnish – optional)
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients by mincing garlic.
- Heat a cast iron skillet or non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil.
- Season beef chops generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika if using.
- Sear beef chops in the hot skillet for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
- Push chops to one side, add butter and garlic to the other side, allowing them to melt together.
- Baste the chops with the garlic butter mixture for another 2–3 minutes until desired doneness is reached.
- Remove from skillet, let rest for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
