- 2 cups pecans
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped chocolate
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until golden.
- In a medium saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, corn syrup, condensed milk, and vanilla extract; stir continuously over medium heat until it reaches a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 5-7 minutes until thickened; remove from heat and mix in toasted pecans.
- Drop spoonfuls of the pecan mixture onto the prepared baking sheet to form clusters.
- Melt chopped chocolate in the microwave or double boiler until smooth; drizzle over each turtle cluster.
- Allow turtles to set completely before serving.
