Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb chicken breast
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion granules
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb cheese tortellini
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Spray the slow cooker with olive oil.
  2. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Add marinara sauce, garlic powder, onion granules, Italian seasoning, paprika, red chili flakes, and chicken broth.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Shred the cooked chicken using two forks and return it to the pot.
  6. Stir in tortellini, mozzarella cheese, and heavy cream until well mixed.
  7. Cook on LOW for an additional 30 minutes or until tortellini are tender.
  8. Add baby spinach and cook for another 10 minutes until wilted.
  9. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
