  • 1 package kataifi dough (shredded phyllo)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, feta cheese, ricotta cheese, minced garlic, oregano, black pepper, and beaten egg. Mix well and set aside.
  3. Take half of the kataifi dough and gently loosen the strands. Brush a baking sheet with melted butter.
  4. Form small nests by twisting bundles of kataifi dough into circular shapes on the baking sheet. Fill each nest with the spinach-feta mixture.
  5. Drizzle remaining melted butter over each filled nest and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
