Ingredients
- 1 package kataifi dough (shredded phyllo)
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, feta cheese, ricotta cheese, minced garlic, oregano, black pepper, and beaten egg. Mix well and set aside.
- Take half of the kataifi dough and gently loosen the strands. Brush a baking sheet with melted butter.
- Form small nests by twisting bundles of kataifi dough into circular shapes on the baking sheet. Fill each nest with the spinach-feta mixture.
- Drizzle remaining melted butter over each filled nest and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
