- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente in salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook each breast for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic; sauté for one minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until thickened.
- Slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces and return it to the skillet with drained pasta. Toss gently in the creamy sauce until well coated.
- Serve immediately, garnishing with extra Italian seasoning or freshly grated cheese if desired.
