  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for swirl)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for swirl)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas and whisk in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the banana mixture; stir until just combined.
  5. For the cream cheese filling, beat together cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until creamy.
  6. Layer half of the banana batter in the prepared pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mix, spread cream cheese filling evenly, then top with remaining banana batter and sprinkle on leftover cinnamon sugar.
  7. Gently swirl the top layer with a knife.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; cool before slicing.
