- 4 medium Apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, Fuji, or Gala)
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (or Coconut Oil/Vegetable Oil)
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar (or Coconut Sugar/Brown Sugar)
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg (optional)
- Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and core the apples, then slice them into fry shapes about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- Pat the apple fries dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- In a small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and salt.
- Drizzle melted butter (or oil) over the apple fries in a large bowl and toss until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the fries and toss again until fully coated.
- Arrange the coated fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-25 minutes until tender and slightly golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
