Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture until well combined.
- Spread half of the batter evenly in the prepared pan, then layer with cherry pie filling. Drop remaining batter in clumps over the filling.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
