- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, cream the softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined; fold in chocolate chips.
- Divide the dough into two portions and roll each into a rectangle about ½ inch thick. Cut strips from the rectangle and twist two strips together gently before placing on the baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown around edges. Cool slightly before transferring to wire racks.
