- 4 cups shredded Napa cabbage
- 3 cups chopped Iceberg lettuce
- 2 ½ cups diced cooked chicken
- 1 cup julienned carrots
- 11 oz. drained mandarin oranges
- ½ cup chow mein noodles
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons peanut oil (can sub avocado, vegetable, or canola oil)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- ¾ teaspoon toasted sesame seed oil
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ cup sliced almonds
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Prepare the dressing by combining all dressing ingredients in a jar with a lid. Shake well or blend in a mini food processor. Refrigerate.
- In a large bowl or platter, layer the shredded Napa cabbage and chopped Iceberg lettuce. Drizzle with some dressing.
- Top with diced chicken, julienned carrots, mandarin oranges, and green onions. Drizzle more dressing over the top.
- Finish with crunchy toppings like sliced almonds, chow mein noodles, crispy wonton strips, and toasted sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately with any remaining dressing on the side.
