Ingredients
- 1.3 pounds ground beef
- 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 2 yellow onions (one grated, one diced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 cup heavy cream (for sauce)
- ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
- 2 tbsp chopped dill
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine grated onion, ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, heavy cream, and egg. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into four patties approximately ¾ inch thick.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for about 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown; set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in salt, pepper, and flour.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes. Add heavy cream and dill; bring to a boil then reduce heat to simmer until thickened.
- Return patties to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5–6 minutes until heated through.
