- 400g cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 125ml mayonnaise
- 60ml crème fraîche
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 125ml grated Parmesan cheese
- 125ml grated Havarti cheese
- 125ml grated Gruyère cheese
- 125ml shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices of sourdough bread
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a pan over medium-high heat. Sauté the mushrooms with salt and pepper until golden, about 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, crème fraîche, melted butter, garlic, and cheeses.
- Toast the sourdough slices until lightly browned on both sides.
- Combine the sautéed mushrooms with the cheese mixture and spread onto the toasted bread.
- Broil under high heat until the cheese is bubbly and golden, approximately 3–5 minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra herbs if desired.
