- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large egg whites (room temperature)
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- ⅓ cup milk (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Rainbow sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare mason jars by washing and drying them.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg whites one at a time, then mix in canola oil, milk, and vanilla.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients and gently fold in rainbow sprinkles.
- Fill each jar halfway with batter and bake for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool before layering with frosting made from beaten butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, milk/cream, and a pinch of salt.
