Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 pound bowtie pasta
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces seasoned with Cajun seasoning and cook until golden brown (about 6-8 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 1 minute. Whisk in flour and cook for another minute to form a roux.
- Gradually add milk while whisking until smooth, then bring to a gentle simmer. Add Velveeta cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
- Combine cooked pasta and chicken into the sauce, mixing well until heated through.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
