  • 4 ½ cups milk
  • ½ cup flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 cans (7.5 ounces each) refrigerated biscuits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium-sized pot, brown the ground beef sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Transfer to the baking dish and blot excess grease.
  3. In the same pot, melt butter in the drippings, then whisk in flour, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until combined. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Gradually add milk while whisking continuously until smooth. Cook on medium-low heat until thickened, then pour over the sausage.
  5. Cut biscuits into quarters and place them evenly on top of the gravy.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
