- 1 pound ground beef sausage
- 4 ½ cups milk
- ½ cup flour
- 3 tablespoons butter
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 cans (7.5 ounces each) refrigerated biscuits
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a medium-sized pot, brown the ground beef sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Transfer to the baking dish and blot excess grease.
- In the same pot, melt butter in the drippings, then whisk in flour, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until combined. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually add milk while whisking continuously until smooth. Cook on medium-low heat until thickened, then pour over the sausage.
- Cut biscuits into quarters and place them evenly on top of the gravy.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
