  • 2 tablespoons onion powder

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large dutch oven, sauté diced green peppers and onions until translucent.
  2. Add spices and sauté for another 1-2 minutes.
  3. Brown the ground beef until just cooked through.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, water, and tomato paste; mix well.
  5. Let simmer for about 15 minutes before adding the drained beans.
  6. Optionally stir in baking soda to balance acidity; let simmer until calm.
